連歷史古跡都被拆...

那我們如何的去教導下一代????

文化自有保存的價值

並不是每樣東西都應該捨舊換新的

尤其是這些共同記憶

山打根的歷史文物不多了....

這里拆那里拆...簡直沒天理!!!!

I am sorry but i would like to ask the following questions:

1) Since when the old market is classified as a "historical" building? How do you consider whether a building is historical or not? Based on age alone?
2) What historical values does the building has? (In terms of architectural or heritage significance)
3) If it is to be preserved, should it continues to serve what it is suppose to serve (eg as a market) or should it be converted into something else?
4) Will our community be served better with the new market or the old market?

根据大马森林调查报告，
山打根的面积，
树木已占了百分之二十点七四巴仙，
能发展的土地不到三十巴仙，
如果我们依然保持这些历史遗物，
咱们的山打根要能和这世界一同转动，
我看要等多下半辈子吧。。。

發展？發展甚麼？幫誰發展？幫官老夜與發展商的口袋發展？

發展過後，物價騰昇，因為成本高了。

而且，只發展硬體，投資環景的發展如何了？有想過該如何吸引外資嗎？

舊的建築物為何不可翻新？這樣成本就比較低了嘛。

現在最重要的是該先發展基本設施，如：道路、水電的供應、外來非法移民與環保等等。

環保不重要？看看這個雨季山打根變成甚麼？簡直不堪一擊。

幸好我吉隆坡的朋友是在山打根還沒遭受雨季的破壞之前到來，要不然就真的丟臉丟到家門口了:20:

ivan...那樣的話干脆戲院也不要啦...

反正新一代的小朋友都不知什麼是戲院的...

全都久了的...拆拆拆!!!!

kl 的舊中央市場也沒拆, 反新后就成為藝術廊了...也賺/吸引了不少游客!!!

只看資料不去看現實的東西就是官老爺的作風!!!!!

有哪一為會真真的為山打根服出的....:@

希望大家须知道，
我们是一般的人而不是圣人，
人都是会为自己的利益先想啦。。
这我很坦白的对大家说，
那种人也包括我在内，
但我不完全赞同khinkeit说的话，
虽然真真为这国家服从的人不多，
但也不能完全认定没有人付出过，
这样说对另少部分尽心尽力的人很不公平。

去年我為沙巴旅游局拍照
他們帶來一批歐州人來山打根觀光．．．
一天就看完山打根．．．
洋人領隊和我說了一句話．．．他不會再安拍人來這里！！！
他們得來子資料山打根有很多歷史文物，　結果來到不是拆了就是爛爛的，　真丟臉:13:

I agree that we do need urgent attention to our infrastructure such as power, water & road.

But i cannot agree that we have demolished most of our so called historical buildings. For one, I definitely will not consider the old market as a "historical landmark" or something. I mean can anyone tell me what's the heritage, architectural or historical significance of that building? n can anyone tell me what other historical buildings in Sandakan we have demolished over the years?? Want to turn the market into an art gallery? Who is going to operate it? what arts are we going to display or sell? how many local will actually go check out the art scene? all these question must be answer before we say KL can y we cannot. The old central market in KL is a big souvenir shop for tourist, not much of art gallery in fact. And as an engineer, my experience says that "upgrading" an old building does not necessary means cheaper than building a new one.

Sandakan itself do not have a very long history, & most, if not all, were destroyed during WWII. Ask anyone who want to go visit historical place, what will be the 1st place that comes to one's mind? Beijing, Taj Maha, Ankor Wat to name a few.... who will ever thought of Malaysia? not even Melaka comes anywhere close. Why must be promote ourselves with something we are not strong in? Govt is incapable to look after the goods of the state, but where r the private sectors? is there any rich guy out there say ok, SESB cannot make it, I will buy over the company & run it like a real business, make money by providing gd service to all people. not possible? Let's give it a thought.

是翻新不是升級，可別誤會喔。

物價騰昇的問題？薪金追不上通膨？

新加坡也被人民鳥了很多次，因為太多的舊建築被拆掉了，人民對自己的地方沒有感情了，也失去了記憶。

而且大麻好像也挺喜歡把舊殖民時代的建築物都拆掉，可能自卑心作祟吧。

又，吉隆坡的城市規劃在下實在不敢領教。

個人愚見，別在意哪。

不好意思，刚刚才把中文软件给弄好。
翻新就是所谓的“upgrading", 没错。

我不明白的是那旧巴杀究竟有什么历史或文化价值。说旧又不是很旧，说建筑风格又没什么特殊。翻新的话又没什么经济价值可言。

令我感兴趣的是据你说山打根有许多歷史文物都被拆了或是烂烂的，那究竟有那些呢？
